Bass Fishing Tournaments

This 2-day parent/child program for campers ages 7-16 will allow you and your child to participate in a fishing tournament utilizing the many bodies of water at the Wildlife Education Center! We will have boats on the Bullington Pond and Bond Pond for you to fish from, but you will also have the option to fish from the docks or land around the ponds. Each parent child pair will have a scale and measuring tape to photo document their fish. You will arrive Friday afternoon to check in, scout the ponds, and do some fishing before dinner. Saturday morning, you will grab breakfast and head out to the ponds to fish until lunch. After lunch, we will hold the weigh-in and present awards. All participants will receive a health screening upon arrival, and the camp will be disinfected between and during sessions. Bring your own fishing pole and tackle to use during the tournament. If you need to borrow these items, please contact us beforehand. Registrations are based on availability.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own shotguns, but range guns will be available if needed. All participants will receive a health screening upon arrival, and the camp will be disinfected between and during sessions. Registrations are based on availability.

Weekend Family Camp

This 3-day parent/child program is an opportunity for parents to experience a few days of “camp life” with their child age 7-16. Spending a few days at camp allows campers and parents to become familiar and comfortable with the Camp Woodie facilities and programs. This helps to relieve much of the anxiety for campers (and parents) about spending a week away from home. Parents and campers will take part in shooting both shotguns and rifles, archery, and fishing alongside instructors. This new camp experience will open doors for growth and bonding between the parent and child and serve as a healthy outdoor environment for parents to pass on their skills and knowledge. Camp Woodie will provide meals, shotgun shells and .22 ammo. Participants are encouraged to bring their own shotguns, but range guns will be available if needed. All participants will receive a health screening upon arrival, and the camp will be disinfected between and during sessions.

Cost: $149/person

Dates: May 21-23
