Heritage Events

Camp Woodie’s Heritage events Spring Events have finally arrived! This spring, events include Shooting Instruction Weekends, Women’s Wilderness Weekends, Bass Fishing Tournaments, and Family Camp Weekends.

Shooting Instruction Weekend

This 3 day, 2 night weekend is filled with shooting shotguns, 22’s, and archery with professional instruction at our new shooting venues. Our new shooting venues are designed for team games and helps increase shooting time. Parent child groups will arrive Friday night and have dinner and hang out at the camp fire. Saturday will be full of shooting instruction and end with a night shoot at our well lit 5 stand range. Sunday will be a top gun competition. All meals, housing, and ammo will be provided. We encourage participants to bring their own guns. We will have camp guns on site shall one be needed.

Women’s Wilderness Weekend

This 3 day, 2 night weekend is all about making sportswomen. Participants will have professional shooting instructors and archery instructors to help with shotgun shooting and archery. Along with shooting activities we will have outdoor education classes, canoeing, and more. All meals, housing, and ammo will be provided. We encourage participants to bring their own guns, but we have camp guns if you need to use one.

Bass Fishing Tournaments

This 2 day, 1 night weekend is all about finding the biggest bass at camp. Parent child groups will be able to fish at all 5 ponds located throughout camp. Friday night we will have dinner, then allow groups to explore the many different fishing areas. Saturday morning until lunch will be the fishing tournament. The winner will be announced at lunch. All meals and housing will be provided. We encourage participants to bring their own fishing gear, but we have some if needed.

Family Camp Weekends

This 3 day, 2 night weekend is to let parents see camp life while also letting younger campers get use to the facilities before attending camp for their one week session. During the weekend family groups will participate in shooting activities, canoeing, education classes, and more. All meals and housing will be provided.
